Welcome to the latest instalment in our footwear design evolution. Vans UltraRange combines ultra-comfort, lightweight traction and mobility with our timeless style. Here’s everything you need to know.

WHAT ARE VANS ULTRARANGE

Versatility and comfort are the name of the game with Vans UltraRange. Think Vans’ classic design transformed into lightweight, flexible shoes ideal for exploring. Our UltraRange was developed with Vans pro surfer Pat Gudauskas, who spends his days travelling the globe in search of the perfect waves. With Pat’s insight, we created a new design that offers superior wearability from city streets to hiking trails – and everything in between. The result? Low top trainers that are instantly recognisable as Vans with premium materials and a flexible sock-like fit.

How to lace Vans

Lacing your Vans UltraRange sneakers all comes down to you and your style. Cross-laced, straight-laced or something different, give your new fave shoes a laced-up look that’s uniquely you. Don’t forget you can also switch it up with a fresh pair of Vans laces – available in white, black and our iconic chequerboard print.

How to cross-lace Vans UltraRange

Cross-lacing is the standard for our UltraRange shoes, as well as our classic skate shoes. Here’s how it’s done:

1. Thread the left lace tip downwards through the left eyelet closest to the toe of the shoe. Thread the right tip down through the corresponding right eyelet.
2. Cross the right lace tip over to thread it through the next eyelet on the left side, going through the hole from above.
3. Repeat the process with the left lace tip, threading it through the right side from above.
4. Continue the pattern to the last eyelet, or leave one or two eyelets free if you prefer a roomier fit.

How to straight-lace Vans UltraRange

Straight-lacing will give your UltraRange shoes a snug fit – perfect for those active days on the go.

1. Thread the left lace tip downwards through the left eyelet closest to the toe of the shoe, and the right tip down through the corresponding right eyelet.
2. Thread the left lace tip up through the next eyelet on the left side. Cross it over and thread it down through the eyelet on the right side.
3. Both lace tips should now be on the right side of the shoe. Take the original right lace tip and thread it up through the next empty eyelet on the right side. Then bring it across to the left side and thread it down through the corresponding empty eyelet.
4. Repeat the process until you’ve threaded as many eyelets as you like.

How to clean Vans UltraRange

Use a soft-bristled brush or cloth to brush off loose dirt or mud on the outside of your UltraRange shoes. For marks and stains, mix a small amount of mild detergent with warm water and gently scrub.

You can also pre-treat tougher stains with a stain remover. It’s a good idea to test a small, inconspicuous area first.

If your shoes are damp after cleaning, pat excess moisture with a towel and leave them to air dry. Ensure they’re completely dry before storing to prevent odours and mould growth.
