VANS V&A STORE ADDS ELEVATED SELECTION
Vans Premium has arrived at the V&A Waterfront store, bringing elevated classics, modern craftsmanship, and a bold visual installation by Cape Town artist, Motel Seven.
(Cape Town, 15 April 2025) — Cape Town, it’s your turn. The Vans V&A Waterfront will be offering the Vans Premium collection. Previously only available online and at Sandton City, Vans Premium is finally landing in the Mother City to deliver modern craftsmanship, updated classics and refined materials, all rooted in the brand’s unmistakable skate DNA.
Same Store Location, New Standard
Vans Premium isn’t about hype or reinvention. It’s about modern craft, quietly luxurious design, and materials that speak volumes without needing to shout. This is a line built for those who know the classics but demand more from them. From glazed finishes and washed-down canvas to re-engineered fits and plush leather linings, Premium is where form meets feeling. This addition marks a fresh chapter for the V&A store, which has undergone a revamp to bring in a curated, scaled-down version of the Premium section that was first introduced at the Sandton City flagship store.
Murals by Motel Seven
To bring the new Premium space to life, Vans partnered with Cape Town-based visual artist, Motel Seven. She’s a creative force known for her vivid dreamscapes, femme-fueled energy, and raw, street-informed aesthetic that’s made headlines from London to Los Angeles.
This collaboration reflects Vans’ continued commitment to uplifting local talent and using its platforms to amplify voices that deserve to be seen and heard, especially women artists who are shaping the future of design, art, and identity in South Africa and beyond.
